"Blue Monday" Annie Lee
Ms. Annie Lee's "Blue Monday" is one of her most recognized and most loved works. For years we used to have a traveling exhibtion called "Eight Men & A Lady", the male artists would rotate in and out but the Lady, my friend Annie Lee, was the flame that drew all us moths together. When our Lady passed years ago, her family asks many of the leading Black artists in the country to choose one her works and reimagine it in our own 'style'. I'm a realisic painter/illustrator, and since "Blue Monday" has always been a favorite of mine I jumped at the chance to re-create it.
I offer to you my version of "Blue Monday." It is 40" x 60", Mixed Media on Board. $45,000.00
